A love of the contemporary railway scene - and the yellow-liveried Network Rail test fleet - combined with a tour around the Rail Vehicle Engineering Limited site at Derby, inspired Mick Bryan to recreate this and the neighbouring East Midlands Trains depot in 4mm scale.
